Still wondering about Blu-ray on Macs?
Take a real hard look at the MacBook Air, then multiply that result with Apple’s foray into streaming media. The optical drive has begun it’s short journey to popular external accessory-ville. First with the Macbook Air, then comes the MacBook, Mac Mini, and iMac. The pro machines will keep them a while longer, but their days are numbered too. I’ll be shocked if you’ll still be able to get one built into a Mac Pro three years from now.
I’m thinking “lack of a disc drive” can be found somewhere in Steve’s big Blu-ray “Bag-o-hurt”.
